Wednesday November 16th, was the Gaslamp Quarter Association’s 2016 Lamplighter Awards – it was a lovely night, we had a great time, and we were honored to have received the 2016 Armond Award for Lifetime Achievement. I am not the best public speaker, but I would now like to again express my deep gratitude, and to send a message, from the bottom of my heart, of thanks and love to all.
Thank you to the organizations of downtown, the Convention Center, media, McFarlane Promotions, concierges, fellow downtown business owners and their teams, our neighbors, our loyal dining guests, friends, family, the Bandar team, and all of the people who have supported us, made the Lamplighter Awards night enjoyable, and who help make our beautiful city of San Diego better every day.

Now in its sixth year, this achievement celebrates hospitality businesses that have earned great traveller reviews on TripAdvisor over the past year. “With the Certificate of Excellence, TripAdvisor honours hospitality businesses that have consistently received strong praise and ratings from travelers”, said Heather Leisman, Vice President of Industry Marketing, TripAdvisor.
The Certificate of Excellence accounts for the quality, quantity and recency of reviews submitted by travelers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
